BOMA Class Series

Observations are made daily of the biomarkers of cervical mucus and vaginal sensations that women experience at the vulva. The sensation and the visual aspects of cervical mucus are recorded daily by using a Billings Method chart and either stamps or symbols. Couples are given two charts, a booklet and a packet of stamps in addition to viewing the instructor's PowerPoint presentation.

There are 4 rules to this method and no temperature taking. Group instruction is offered for the first two classes. Individual follow-ups are then scheduled for at least two more sessions or until the clients are autonomous in their use of the method.

Creighton Model NFP

Like all NFP methods, the Creighton Model System (or CrMS) relies upon the observation and charting of biological markers that are essential to a woman's health and fertility. These "biomarkers" tell the couple when they are naturally fertile and infertile, allowing the couple to use the system either to achieve or to space a pregnancy.

Since these biomarkers also telegraph abnormalities in a woman's health, it can also be used to network with gynecologic and procreative healthcare professionals. The teachers of the CrMS are trained to assist and refer clients to specifically trained physicians who have been educated to incorporate the CrMS into their medical practice.

The Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System (CrMS) is a standardized modification of the Billings Ovulation Method. Like all other NFP methods, it is built on research, education, and service and is an integrated educational system designed to assure the highest quality service possible for the educator and client couple.

The full series of Creighton classes begins with a 2 hour group session which articulates on how this method fits in with Catholic teachings on married sexuality. It also covers the scientific basis of all NFP methods and how to observe and chart the signs specific to this method. After the first group session, the remaining meetings or "follow-ups" with the instructor and client couple are hour long private sessions scheduled at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 weeks. More sessions are available, if needed, at $30 each, and can be scheduled by emailing or calling the Office of NFP or your CrMs Instructor.

Session One, 5 follow up sessions, and course materials are included for the tuition cost of $150 per client or client couple.

FAF Class Series

The couple will learn to recognize certain sensations of dry and wet as signs of their infertile and fertile phases. Guided by the established rules of the FAF Method and by daily noting these signs on on an easy to use chart the couple will be able to recognize the beginning and end of their fertile phase and be able to plan their family. Temperature is not taken for this method. The couple will receive a book with instruction and complete information, a chart with six cycles and booklet of stickers. The series includes an Introduction class in a group and 3 more private follow-ups until the couple is autonomously using the method.
